"Biased Plies" (biased-plies)

I'd be much better a writing if I could just transcribe my thoughts automatically. By the time I sit down to write or type up my thoughts I've forgotten half of what I was trying to say and my vocabulary has gone for a stroll. Frustrating.

I have the same problem. I can imagine or think of a concept with which I am incapable of fully expressing in words.

Can we do that with designs as well? Many times I have a brilliant design idea for something but my drawing/computer skills suck.

This is going to sound like I'm a middle school teacher, but reading helps with that I believe. I find that the more I read, especially technical things, the better I am at making ideas understandable to the masses.

I like to think I read a fair bit but I'm guess technical documents don't cater to this too well. I should probably read a bit more for leisure.
I appreciate the advice. No worries about sounding like a school teacher.

There's a fine line between a dissertations and literature, if that makes sense.

I wish. I'd be ridiculously good at my job if I that was possible. On a related note, I probably think too highly of the brilliance of my own thoughts.

It does. Reading (or writing) a dissertation is mentally taxing whereas literature is mentally stimulating.

Same with me. I have great thoughts, but they don't come out great when I type or write them.
